This is a ver interesting blog. Helen appears to write based on her experiences and use other articles to support her ideas. Good information for those new to management and she ties in nicely to her website articles. I expected to see references and sales attempts to her seminars.
Some ideas to be more effective,
1. Use the label function to provide some type of grouping to the article.
2. Put the advertising piece down by the sidebar. When the blog comes up, after the headline, the Google ad box is the first thing a viewer sees instead of the article that they were looking for.
Once again, this appears to be an archived blog. There hasn’t been a new post since April 2006. As more people use the various available technologies, they will want to know how to use these technologies to enhance their human communication skills and be more effective in managing their processes and leading their people.

Very professional looking blog. All the articles in blog are very informative, and provide excellent insight on management. I really liked the article on " Are Management Skills overrated".
One suggestion from my side, will be to add categories, so that you can segregate posts into different sections. It will be easier for the end user to navigate then.
Nonetheless, a great work. All the very best.
The Management Skills Center, created and maintained by Helen Wilkie out of Toronto Canada, does contain some great information concerning basic management and even leadership theory and practice. However, there does seem to be quite a bit of 'clutter' dedicated to promoting her own teleseminars (some are free) and training program (not free).
Despite the sales pitch, much of her content is useful for the beginning leader and can certainly help lead the 'newbie' down the correct path to becoming an effective manager. For someone who is in their first management role, this weblog is a great resource for that important first stage of professional development.

The Management Skills Center is an interesting web site. The theory is that articles for the 'rank and file' who have been promoted to management are posted here. I enjoyed 'Are management skills overrated?' though as a former exec I have found that PEOPLE management skills make or break managers at any level.
I would have enjoyed the articles more if I understood the perpective of the blogger herself...is she a rank and file person who worked her way up, some fatcat in an ivory tower, or what? There's some stuff worth reading for the right audience.
