Hi there bloggers,
Let's set things straight:
1) YOU, the users of BlogsRater.com are the only ones responsible for rating or reviewing. I DO NOT rate or review, I just check to see if everything's alright
2) If you want to report an abuse, please include the name of the respective blog inside your comment (there are thousands of blogs submitted here so it's like finding a needle in a haystack if I don't know the name of the blog), or you could just drop me an email at info@blogsrater.com. BlogsRater is being updated right now and you will soon be able to report cases of abuse easily.
3) It's not fair to rate poorly other blogs just because people like them!
4) Regarding the non-legit ratings that have been reported, we will take care of this issue ASAP
If you have any question please drop me an email at info@blogsrater.com and I'll be here to help you.
Best luck to all bloggers here at BlogsRater.com!
Admin... maybe Blogsrater admin should speak to BlogElites.com admin and compare the complaints also made on that site.
Quote from BlogElite site..
"2007-08-20 17:23:21

please visit http://www.blogelites.com/index.php?a=stats&u=bizwhiz to see stats.
I hope the site admin at blogsrater are reading this and are prepared to investigate and take the required action.
looks like BR was right.. just take a look at the other blog sites to see the complaints made against this blog.
Like tools of a trade, this is a useful blog resource. It gives us ideas to write about in our rants and musings or whatever you call it. Now and then, you can find a quotation that is funny or relevant to our writing, and that really adds some authenticity and life to our contents.
Unlike a usual quotations resource site, this blog discusses social or political issues by grouping them in a clever manner through their Quotes of the month themes and pictorials. Interesting indeed.
This is tiring. To nicole and the rest of the bloggers, yes, thanks to the cooperation of everybody, I know who BR is and what his blog is. Maybe, I shall let the administrator decide what he wants to do about it.
In response to Anderson Peters comments below.. I must put him straight regarding his last paragraph:
He Stated - "You are of course free to continually rate lowly all the sites that are in your way so that your own blog gets in the forefront. We just do not see that as appropriate or responsible. As to whose behavior is indeed abusing the system, we believe the blog community has the answers".
I have yet to compose a blog and was actually reviwing one of the blogs mentioned here to get tips on how to start one. So as for having sites or blogs in my way, or getting my blog to the forefront you are mistaken. My only gripe is which blog do others rate highly on this subject so I can get off on the right road, instead of being misled by those who see blogging as purely a means of advertising. I hope this clarifys my point and put to bed any misconception
Oh my. I didn't realize you faced the same problem too. I have been seeing my blog and a few others suddenly down-rated and often replaced by some lottery site at the top of the list. As blog owners, we find this practise deplorable. Why do these people have to resort to such low tactics? They are already in the list and is there any need to climb to the very first spot by getting rid of others?
Did you manage to find out who is behind this? Care to let us know? From a logical point of view, if we vote for each other's blogs, all of us stand to gain. A win-win situation. Doesn't make sense to do otherwise.
I take a look at this blog whenever I want to work a quotation or famous saying into my daily rants. Interesting quotes you have, some are rarely found on the net. Good work.
Well, BR, I have said it and I say again that a group of us, the readers, are responsible for the ratings. The administrator of this site should have the means to confirm that. So the basis of your allegation is unfounded.
Read the rules of this site. You can either rate a blog or review it. I have noticed that there are a couple of other blogs that are constantly among the list. Whether or not they are there because of the owners or their readers, we are not concerned. Whether or not they posted their own reviews under pseudonyms, we are not bothered too. And we surely would not resort to doing what you did.
You are of course free to continually rate lowly all the sites that are in your way so that your own blog gets in the forefront. We just do not see that as appropriate or responsible. As to whose behavior is indeed abusing the system, we believe the blog community has the answers.
I agree totally with the comments made by Anderson Peters. That is why I felt it necessary to make my initial comment.
It should be up to others to review and rate those blogs that they feel are of interest.
But when you look at the top 20 ratings on the upper left hand side of blogsrater you will notice that the same 3 blogs
Namely 1) Famous Insp Quotes
2) New tips for Bloggers
3) Business Fables
all appear at the same time even though no review has been written. So are you telling me that people rate these (1-10) and leave no review? and these people also look at the same 3 blogs every time?
I find it hard to believe. Therefore I can only assume that the rating is being conducted by the blog writer themselves.
The point I am making is: how can interested people like myself judge what blogs to consider viewing out the the many hundreds on this site if the rating system is abused in this way?
I write in response to BR\'s comments. I am a regular reader of these blogs you talked about and needless to say, a group of us, loyal supporters, feel in our opinions that these blogs are worth our ratings. A look at the IP locations will easily confirm that we are responsible for these ratings, not the authors.
In fact, those who know the authors will more than agree that they are such busy executives that they will have no time to indulge in these social networking or rating activities. They blog out of interest and a passion to impart what they know.
When we review blogs, we should be looking at the contents and understanding the efforts that have been put into them. This is what almost all of the reviewers here have done. Their comments are objective and reflect their maturity and upbringing.
If you are a regular reviewer, you ought to know that too. Unless, of course, you are a blog owner and have to always put down other blogs so that your own blog gets ahead. This is perhaps the only purpose of your message.
We understand and observe net etiquette. We shall continue to vote for the blogs that we like, and will never undermine those that we don\'t. We are sure the rest of us in the blogging community will uphold this spirit.
funny how this site always gets into top rating along with new tips for bloggers and the other site that is obviously all part of the famous 3 rated. Having checked the reviews on a regular basis, I can only assume that the owner gets the satisfaction of rating himself for the publicity... HOW SAD
Your quotes are good, and properly researched and accredited. But what I like are also the way you compiled them into Quotes of the month, bringing out hot topics being talked about in the community. Through them you give us ideas on how to weave these quotes into our blogs.
Your Paris Hilton issue, on equality of rights and justice are well put.
Wow...the "How Many More" gun cartoon really touched a nerve for me and I sincerely thank you for putting it there on your website. Great job combining powerful, thought-provoking quotes with cartoons that do the same for us people who really NEED to do some thinking. :)
The blog has a cartoon relating to
comparsion of Virginia Tech incident and the
Iraq situation....interesting... also takes the mickey out of George W Bush at times.
I can certainly appreciate all of the great quotes you have put on this site. Great quotes are what keeps society linked from the past to the present. If a persons great words are forgotten, they too will also soon be forgotten. Great job, keep up the good work. I'll be sure to check back soon.
The Quotes so touch myself really. How amazing you are , how you can collect all the Quotes. Thanks to your blog, i use this word for word message to friend. Thanks
A quote from this site: "Florynce Kennedy: If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament."
Haha! Ain't that the truth. People forget that African Americans got to vote before women! Though, really, that is kind of understandable if you have met my sister when she is PMSing. LOL
I love quotes and it's nice to find a blog that caters to one. To top it all of it is very organized. And including the authors is also a plus.I am bookmarking this blog, for I will surely check it from time to time.
A wide variety. Good that you mention authors' particulars. Does help in identifying the source.
Saw your site through Yahoo Answers. Good quotes. Nice collection.
Pretty good collection of quotes. I used some for my own myspace and blog. Many other sites offering quotes simply quote names of authors or speakers. Some names are so common that they can refer to anybody on the street. At the least, I can see that you have put in effort to source and credit. I like the interesting compilation of your quotes of the month on love and taxes.
